paranoid_cataclysm - I agree with the imaginary sounds having a negative connotation associated with it. Does anyone have trouble distinguishing whether the sounds are real or not, or are you able to tell most of the time? Because there are times where I know immediately that the sound(s) I am hearing are imaginary; however there are times I am not sure. ...

While I have yet to actually attend a meeting held by this group, I have found a few meetings in my local area that I am considering. http://allone.com/12/ea/#HaveAGreatDay Hope this helps you, and anyone else who might read this. I can currently relate, as I am stuck in a moderate depression, and the feeling of loneliness is even more exacerbated. ...

When I am in a psychotic state I tend to hear and see things. I can't say I've ever heard voices inside my head, minus myself, or when I'm recalling a situation involving what another person said. But, I do hear imaginary rings, beeps, buzzes, my mom calling my name when she's not even in the house, the radio, people talking, etc. Now a...

You both are correct, in that the Abilify is a very low dose. I tried 2 mg, then 4 mg and it ended up throwing me into mania. My Psychiatrist suggested that one, I'm wired weird and two, my body just might metabolize my meds at a slower rate. I am not sure Ativan will work for me. Even the 0.5 mg makes me extremely drowsy in the morning (and I take...

My Psychiatrist recently prescribed 1 mg of Ativan to help with my agitation/irritability, which I am taking along with 1 mg of Abilify. I am to take 1 mg of Ativan in the morning and then another 1 mg in the afternoon. He did say that I could cut my pills in half, if they make me too drowsy. However, my main concern is taking Ativan every day. My Psychia...

Xila31 - I also experienced very similar auditory hallucinations, one of them would be a ringing phone, and the other would be my mom calling my name (even if she wasn't home, now that was distressing!). Thursday_ - The Psychiatrist will have a set of questions to ask you, but also just describe what a regular week for you is like. Perhaps you hear th...

Thanks for the wonderful feedback! I have tried Lithium prior to Ativan, but it didn't help with the agitation or my Bipolar symptoms. I was unaware that was easy to build up a tolerance with Ativan, but that makes sense on how people end up becoming dependant on the drug. I hope it doesn't become less effeftive for me in a couple of weeks, but...

Hi All, I'll try to keep this short. C: I called my Pyschiatrist today to do my one-week check in with him, to let him know how I am doing on the 1 mg of Abilify. The 1 mg does not help very much with my irritability/agitation, but has not thrown me into mania like the 2 mg and 4 mg did. I've exhausted trying the other atypicals commonly use...

Thanks for the feedback. Your idea of creating a 'safe pocket' sounds like a good, in fact I might have to start contemplating about making one. I have this one scent that is made by Hollister (I don't remember the name though) that makes me feel relaxed and calm; however, it is a cologne and thus a more masculine scent. So, I don't p...
