I know what questions to ask or what to do for arrhythmia's but not what tests and questions I should ask about a possible heart attack or heart disease. What tips; suggestions; tests should I make sure I have? hopefully it's a false reading on my EKG. On top of dealing with HOCM (have an ICD) fainting, arrhythmia's and brady/tachycardia ...

Now I have new ins and new dr's I'm going to talk to them about the OSA and last dr because my ICD shows so much activity at night and I'm wondering if part of the problem isn't the sleep problem. I wanted the Oximeter to print out or take to them to say see? I have a problem. My sleep study was a few years ago so I may mention another ...

Could this be used for Sleep Apnea to check the 02 levels at night? I would be interested in getting one since nothing they've tried worked for my OSA yet. I keep telling them part of my problem is sleep apnea - they tell me to lose 30 lbs and I'll be fine - which I think is hogwash; I had OSA even before they stopped me exercising and I gained ...

I've had lifelong brady/tachycardia also; one dr did mention SSS but was did not dx me with it and instead went through almost a week of testing in the hospital to see what was going on. Previous to that testing; I did go to one dr who gave me her "wonder drug" Toprol and told me that it would change my life and get rid of my arrhythmia'...

Orthostatic Intolerance and orthostatic hypotension can be a real pain to deal with. You can check it out at the NDRF (national dysatuonomia research foundation) or do...

normally when I get a fullness in my throat area and fluttering it's pac's...while pvc's feel like my heart has stopped and then a funny thumping after each one I think it all depends on where they start; what's wrong and what you're doing at the time of what happens...I know sometimes I can be really bothered by a string of pvc&#x...

good luck and speedy recovery on your procedure; fingers crossed that it does like many others and alleviates your symptoms fully =) let us know how it goes - if you get cold in the OR ask for a warming blanket; they may not offer it up front but I remembered someone telling me this before mine and so glad I asked

I would mention to the dr in this post about the ASD and see what he/she says... the septal defect may be attributed to HCM but I can't remember exactly - what about finding a HCM specialist from the HCMA? you can call their office and Lisa will help you. (4hcm.org) I was told by one cardiologist that Mayo clinic is the best place to go when deali...

thanks Ireneo; I'm waiting on my insurance to kick back in and will go back for another checkup I saw a new guy at the end of Sept and he found I have RBBB again which hasn't shown up on my Ekg's for about 2 1/2 years so he ordered tests and check on my legs to see if they are clots as the other dr suspected I just found it weird that asp...
