Dear Madge - It was hard to even turn on the TV today. We went to bed at 9:15 p.m., CST, so we didn't have to watch the rally in Chicago. While I was living in Texas, so many of the Democrats I had in library school did nothing but trash George Bush from day one. I'd like to think that I am a bigger person than that but in the face of what I think we face, it is hard to think about being a "bigger person." My home state of Kansas went with McCain, but Iowa turned "blue." The company my brother works for is trying to develop Clean Coal. Oh well, let's depend on countries that hate us for our fuel needs rather than resources we actually have! - K

Just a quick note to say hi! - Hey Madge - I can only hope that a week from now, Senator McCain will be our next president. Although I wanted Kay Bailey Hutchison of Texas as the V.P. candidate, I am hoping that McCain can pull out another come-from-behind victory. I favored McCain back in 2000, even though I lived in Texas and George W. Bush had been a pretty good governor. My husband works for "Big Oil" so am very worried about what Obama will do to that industry. We need real leadership, not socialist politics. Use your brain, vote McCain!

Hi, where did you get the 3% that you quoted about the reduction in risk by taking Tamoxifen ?? There was a study done in 1999 by Nat. Cancer Inst. (BCPT) that revealed much more than that.
