The motivating force behind the creation of medhelp is deeply personal to each of its founders. Cindy and Phil met in December of 1993, while conducting research in CompuServe's Med-Sig Forum. When Cindy and Phil met in the forum, they began discussing the difficulties each encountered in obtaining medical information, in lay terminology. Cindy mentioned that one of her dreams was to create a service where patients would be able to contact leading physicians and scientists, who could answer specific questions, in lay terminology, regarding their diagnoses.

Mood: Dee52 went to her final doctor's appointment to get surgery for cancer they will do a double macestotomy. Now they have to get together to set up my surgery date. I just want to get started on this long journey that's exactly what they called it. I'll do it and do it well and when all is done I will be cancer free for life I pray! Thank you for everything! I have breast cancer and I love the Breast Cancer Awareness theme. MH has been such a blessing to me. The friends I have on her are priceless and when I have a question there is always someone there to answer it with wisdom. Keep up the good work and once again thank you!
