hates this disease and what it does to those we love
About Me: Female, NYC - NY, member since Aug 2006
I was one of the lucky ones, diagnosised early stage Ovarian Cancer in 2000.  Since 2006 I have been very involved with  volunteering, giving educational seminars and chairing fund raising events for the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition.  Helping to raise awareness and ... [More] funds to support important research projects is one of the most fulfilling experiences of my life.  I hope that one day soon there is a test for early detection and treatment to successfully battle this disease.  To the friends I have lost - you are my Angels!!!  I miss you very much. Actually I'd appreciate any advice you can give me. As there is no chapter in this area I'm on my own. If you have any brochures, notes etc to copy and send me I'd pay ya for postage or whatever. I'd really like to see a phamlet on your registration and an agenda for your walk-I guess kind of a guidline to follow. Ideas etc. As we are on the Canadian border and I was born in the US but now live in Canada we are planning a international walk with an exchange of the ovarian torch on the border. I have a couple of good friends battling OVCA here in Canada and my sister in the Us so thought this would be unique. Thanks

Just a quick note to say hi! Dear Pam: Sorry to be so long in responding to your note. Your understanding means a lot as the decision to stop chemo is not an easy one. Ella is feeling stronger and enjoying life much more now. We hope all turns out well. Thanks again for journeying with us through all of this. Although it is all in print and long-distance, the relationship we share is important and helpful. We hope you are well also. Love, Paul & Ella
