ommy. I would love that. Unfortunately, it's not a possibility for us right now. When I was little, all I wanted to be was a Mommy and that hasn't changed.
I nursed my fifth child for 11 months. I felt like I really shorted myself and my daughters by not sticking with it long enough with them. I gave up because of severe engorgement and nipple pain in the first few days after their birth. Due to my son being in the NICU and having intestinal surgery (jejunal atresia), I made myself stick with it because mothers milk and the intense bonding is what he needed most. It is a beautiful thing and if I had it to do all over again I would have made myself stick with it for all of my babies. I am definitely an advocate of nursing now. And very proud of myself for succeeding.
