About Me: Female, 41, Beautiful Pacific NW - OR, member since Nov 2007
I am a disabled 40yo woman with 5 wonderful children.  2 are my own - Ashley 20 & Kristen 17.  3 are my "step-children", however they might as well be mine!  I love them dearly - Trysta 20, Tamantha 19, & James Jr. 15.  God truly blessed me with my family.  I honestly h... [More] ave the best children, parents, grandma, & boyfriend (he's my ex hubby lol) on earth!  I am afraid to think where I would be today without them!

I LOVE animals.  Currently I own:

Elvis - Giant Green Iguana.  He's truly the most awesome pet I've ever owned!  He is about 5ft 7in long, and about 12in in girth.  He LOVES to crawl up on my lap and rest his head on my shoulder while I sing him lullabye's before he goes to bed!  Then I have to tuck him in with his little pillow, blanket & baby before he'll go to sleep.  He gives kisses, and "talks" (they talk via nodding their heads) to me all day.  He is also potty trained.  He used to leave his enclosure and walk to the stand-up shower and go potty in there, but now he just goes to the bottom of his "house" and goes in a littler box filled with water.  He was a rescue from a very bad BAD pet store.  The vet didn't think he'd make it through the night, and on Nov 9th, it'll be 5 years since we were lucky enough to add him to our family!  I have learned so much from him, and I've enjoyed every single minute of the time he's been with me :-)

Binky - Binky is a female Russian Tortise.  I only recently aquired her, as she belonged to one of my older step-daughters, so I don't know alot about her, except that she LOVES to eat!  OMG!  This little tortise can put away more food than my almost 6ft Iguana!  She's VERY cute & knows just how to get her way!  LOL  When she wants out to roam, she comes to the window of her enclosure and follows me bobbing her head LOL.  She also likes to be tucked into bed at night with her blanket & a baby :-)

Momma Kitty - I don't know how old she is, but she showed up on our doorstep one day abput 5 1/2 years ago, shortly after a cat I'd owned (JJ) went missing - I was devastated about losing him.  It was as though MK knew I needed a kitty, because she just pranced right into the house and acted as if she'd been there for years!  We called her "Momma Kitty" because she appeared to be pregnant - she STILL looks pregnant, and never did have any kitties - she was spade lol.  The best part is, the cat that went missing ended up coming back home after being gone 30 days!  After MK and JJ spent a couple days arguing about who was gonna be "Top Cat" - all was fine between them!  Momma Kitty won LOL

Mowser - He is a 10yr old full bred Dachshund.  I adopted him last February from a rescue shelter for Dachshunds.  I had never actually owned a dog before (we had a couple when I grew up, but one was my mom's, the other my brothers).  Everyone I knew that had ever had a dog told me how rewarding they were to own.  Man oh MAN they were right!  I LOVE this dog!  He has decided that his rightful place in this world is on my lap - and I'm good with that :-)  He goes with me almost everywhere, we go for walks 3 times a day every day - one of those is always to the park nearby, he LOVES that!  He and I have really bonded.  And even though he's 10yrs old, he sure doesn't act it!  I am looking forward to a few good years with my new little buddy :-)

I guess that's enough about me & my animals for now :-)  Thanks for taking the time to read this :-)
