About Me: Female, 70, Dallas - TX, member since Nov 2007
Married, (2nd husband) my first husband died in 1980 after 23 years of marriage. I am now married 2nd time for 16 years. We have 10 grandchildren between us, ages ranging from 9 to 25! Our current health issues are severe depression (daughter) just recovering from bein

[More]g found after missing 2 days with hypothermia..body temp. 75, most do not recover from that low temp. she is on dialysis and will be for awhile. Another daughter type 1 diabetic. Most grandchildren are in good shape and excelling thank God and thank God for my daughter's recent recovery! My husband in the past 5 years has had 2 knees replaced, an elbow replaced after a fall and contracted the 'bad' MRSA staph. (5 surgeries for that)...then a 4-way bypass! Did good! Then fell and crushed his knee cap...(3 surgeries!) ...So, ME...well one knee replaced, then a parathyroidectomy....now spinal stenosis in both cervical and lumbar spine. I had surgery scheduled for the 8th Nov. but we had to go to Missouri to be with my daughter. While there my let leg literally went out from under me, the pain was so great I could not walk. Daughter's got a wheelchair for me. After some heat therapy and pain pills I could walk w/ a cane but painful. Drove back to Dallas (10 hrs.) and have another appt. w/ orthopedic dr. next Mon. to reschedule surgery. He plans to do a 2 or 3 level discectomy with fusion. I had an epidural injection in the cervical spine about a month ago. My question is could the injection have something to do with my left knee and leg pain, plus right hip pain? I am also worried about the bone graft he will do from my hip (iliac crest) to fuse the vertabrae. Any comments very welcome.
