About Me:

Male, 59, Whitehall - VA, member since Dec 2007

I am presently retired, and with my lovely domestic partner, manage my little 2 acre Eden and build a railroad empire in my basement. We basically live a "low impact" kind of life in the midst of Mother Nature. We enjoy some of the so-called finer-things but our lifesty... [More] le is pretty minimalist. I cook most of our meals from scratch, we split and stack the fire wood, work our garden, and build or invent much of what we need.

My first panics began when I was 7 and continued, off and on until about age 52, lasting generally for 6 months to 2 years at a run. The last episode drove me to get some serious help, and a course of talk therapy and support of drugs, plus actions I have taken have resulted in a nice recovery and I've been problem free longer than at any time in my life. I'm a forum participant because 1) I can say with honesty to those who suffer that there is a way out and 2) I have enough experience with it to be helpful. 3) At my age, I have been through most of the ages and stages of everyone else. hi, i have'nt heard from you in awhile and was wondering how your doing? i've missed talking with you. how's the garden going? ours is coming along very well. our peach, apple and pear trees are almost ready and they are loaded. maybe a couple of weeks to go. my baby goats are growing and doing very well. they love attention and jump up like a dog on me so i can pet them. let me know how your doing and take care. corena

I read your journal on privacy and i have no problem with not being totally anonymous here...my problems aren't secrets. Would like your opinion on one thing....you've been around here long enough you can probably answer this...I keep getting friend invitations from men in India...I don't know why. None of them post in the forums that I do, I've never had a conversation with any one of them...I almost feel like I'm being stalked by strangers. Any thoughts? Suzy
