I'm Geno 2b, Stage 1, VL 3,730,000 - 36 years in the making, Contracted it during a blood transfusion after a horse accident in Tripoli, Libya. I also have Rheumatoid Arthritis. I am on permanent disability from Warner Bros where I was a motivational instructor/training...
[More] manager. I have always taught people how to reach their full potential and discover their dreams and I had thought all my dreams had come true - wonderful husband, my dream horse (Matti) and a precious new colt (Corbell). Then the Dragon raised its ugly head. But the dragon does not know who he is up against :-). Will start tx soon.
(7-3-08 - OK so I was a little zelous then... - the dragon kicked my butt...have to stop at 13 weeks due to unreal RA pain and deformaties in the majority of my joints. See my journal if you have RA and are planning on tx.)
I am UND for now (since the 3rd week) and hope to stay that way - will keep you posted.
Researching and documenting the efficacy of Autoimmune tx (Enbrel) during HCV tx (Suppressive vs Stimulant) in respect to SVR.

For whatever it's worth, my autoimmune issues disappeared (gradually) once I got off tx and achieved SVR. Unfortunately there was some damage to my skin that will never go away, but I haven't had any more flare-ups in almost a year. Knock wood. Hopefully your SVR will cause the RA to quiet down too. Be well...

Hi,
I was thinking about you today, hoping you're feeling better. I think you're going to stay UND. So have a happy 4th of July, a day of independence from any symptoms.
Your Enbrel research sounds interesting. Keep us posted.
