I have spent about half my life doing battle with the beast that is Clinical Depression and Anxiety. With help from my doctor and family I have been able to remain functional and I still hold out hope for a cure to this most bizzar condition. ... [More]

I would like to say I have a lot of interesting hobbies, but the reality is that most often my work gets in the way of much free time.

Sorry about no photo, but I can't take the chance that anyone involved in my professional life might stumble on this forum and identify me. The result could spell trouble at my work. [Less]

Stick with the Remeron if you continue to feel better. Then speak to your p-doc about a possible alternative. I can detect a bit of panic and don't blame you, but get yourself stable before yet another med change.

Thanks for your response on the Lexapro and weight gain. It sure helped alot to hear that some were taking Lexapro and not gaining weight. I've only been on it for about 2 weeks and have lost a pound. Was taking Effexor but that peeked out and stopped working. Lexapro seems to be doing the trick for now.

Thank you for everything! thank you for your reply. This is in reference to my boy friend. I also have depression and OCD and have been on meds for 10 years. Can you give me some advice about how to support him when he withdraws and has a hard time relating to anyone...his tone of voice and some of the things he says he doens't remember. these things are cruel and hateful. I know it is the disease, but do I ignore it or what?
