In the holiday spirit back in 2003, I decided to do more than give material presents that year, and give the "Gift of Life" by donating blood during a local blood drive. A coupla weeks later I was blindsided by the news that my donation had been rejected due to HCV and the encouragement to seek medical help. Gulp! After running the gamut of emotions, I came to realise that I had gifted myself in the process or who knows where I would be today. Of that I have NO doubt whatsoever.......

And the "process" continues...... After years of non-treating and alternatives, I've come to the crossroads where I need to reassess my options. [Less]

Just a quick note to say hi! im a 1a. Did you work while you were on treatment? Did you take peg and ribivarin? How in the world did you afford it? Schereing (spelling?) sent mine free or i never would have taken it, i responded but viral load went up as soon as i stopped. Have you ever had a liver biopsy? Ive had 3 in the last 9 years, im pretty sure they didnt help anything. Good luck with the doctor. I think i will make a list of questions so i dont forget anything. Do you have problems with memory?
