Just wanted to let you know I can relate. If you ever want to talk, you know where to find me. Read the book "Hormones, Health and Happiness" by Dr. Steven Hotze, especially p.6 -- it saved my life-- hope it helps you!!

You sound really stressed by this job. Even though you care about this family, your stress level is going to hurt you in the long run. You have enough problems in your life. Find a less demanding position. I have been a caregiver for my husband, who has Alzheimer's Disease, for 11 years. I know how frustrating it can be. You need to take a break, for your own health's sake. The family should look into some other kind of care - placement in a facility. I wonder if they belong to the Alzheimer's Assoc. There are many support groups for family members and the people there can help find caregivers/facilities for the family member.

Just wanted to let you know I can relate. If you ever want to talk, you know where to find me. Hi I am Mussy Hair, we have similar medical histories. See my profile. People with Hashimotos do tend to have those problems I am sorry to say. When I started on thyroxine I started to feel better within nine days. However it took about 10 months to feel what 'normal euthyroid people' call 'normal'. As time went on I got these sensations in my legs like a pressure placed around them in a horizontal fashion. This pressure sensation gradually moved down the leg, each leg. One day when I was checking out a pharmacology text book in a medical book shop it described this sensation that I had. The book said that that sensation is commonly felt in patients starting thyroxine therapy.
