About Me: Female, 59, Troutdale - OR, member since Apr 2008
We live a very happy life here in Oregon.

My husband and I have only
... [More] been married for 5 years.

He was diagnosed with metatastic prostate cancer only a month ago. He starts radiation in a three weeks. He is on hormone shots to shrink the tumor first.

Now yesterday, I was sent to a surgical oncologist for a lump in my left breast that was diagnosed two months or so ago by mammo twice and ultrasound and two doctors doing breast exams.. Yesterday, she said that the right breast is larger and there are more glands on the left side along with two cysts and now a definate density on the left side at 11oclck. She referred me to a surgeon and when I called the office I was flabergasted by them answering "Oncology." [Less]

Hello There MalindaCarolyn, guess I haven't been on the computer much. I had my bi-lateral mast about 5 weeks ago and have had no pain for about a week or two. I know I did the best thing for my health, but it's pretty awful to look at, and get used to. I'm on Arimidex now, and don't think I'm having any side-affects. I can''t remember when we last chatted, but I needed no chemo or radiation, had no lymph nodes involved, small tumors, 4 kinds of cancer in both breats! Taking the BRAC tests. How are you doing and whats new? How is your husband doing? Hope you are welL! hOPE YOU BOTH are great! ---Kathy
