About Me: Male, 60, CT, member since May 2008
I've had numerous symptoms over at least 15 years. Severe arthritis in shoulder, spine, and recently hands, cardiac arrhythmias, tachycardia, neurolgical MS-like symptoms, seizure-like episodes, near syncope, blurry vision, itching, cramping, twitching. Went to doc afte ... [More] r doc after doc after doc.  Had eight orthopedic surgeries including two shoulder replacements and spinal decompression for cenral stenosis. Standard Lyme tests were always negative. Did my own research and realized it had to be Lyme, especially when I developed a rash which turned out to be a secondary late-stage Lyme rash (walk-in clinic misdiagnosed it as RINGWORM!).  I have a lot of anger at so-called "mainstream" docs who never considered that the Lyme tests were wrong.  This in CT of all places, the BIRTHPLACE of Lyme!!! I am now under the care of a LLMD who is treating it aggressively. It remains to be seen how much of the 15 years of damage to my joints, heart, brain, eyes, nervous system is reversible. I am very glad to finally have a diagnosis, but I'm a long way from being "cured."   [Less]
Interests: Arthritis, blurry vision, constipation, NUMBNESS, loss of balance, ataxia, rash, severe itching, twitching, cramping, trigger-finger, paralysis

Paul, According to the IM doc, I had a WB IgG IgM done.I'll see my PCP soon and find out the story on this. I just got switched over to a new PCP finally. I had to tie up some loose ends with the former before I could switch. the new doc probably hasn't had time to get up to speed.I never paid out $200 dollars i would have remembered that, even w brain fog. Thank for the words of encouragement. All is not lost ,as I find myself thinking some days. Some days i feel 92 instead of 52.but i have those good ones too.yeah ..so i'll keep on keepin' on. Hey Paul I'm hoping things keep looking up for you. We all see so much devastation on these posts, it's encouraging to see good news.TTYL...Bruce
