Until recently when I was mis-diagnosed and treated for pnemonia, I have always been unremarkably healthy and self diagnosed and treated myself. I have diagnosed myself with GERD when Dr's could not find anyway to treat me. I am currently treating with Nezium, quite successfully, however I believe I have a hiatal hernia causing my symptoms and feel I may shortly have to find a Dr who agrees with my diagnosis and is willing to do a stomach wrap to eliminate the problem. It is my understanding that this can be in certian instances a complete cure to prevent acid reflux along with the lung/phlem issues associated with it.
