Sharon, Much to my surprise, it did not hurt a bit. One of the guys there had been thinking about the same thing but figured it would really hurt. He was shocked and sat and watched me the whole time. I have 4 others and all of them hurt worse than this one. The guy that did it told me that was his first head tattoo and he was amazed also. Love Chris
