About Me: Male, 52, Clovis - CA, member since Aug 2008
I developed epilepsy at the age of 10.  The seizures were controlled with Dilantin until I got married, had kids and got to to top of my career path.  I only had the seizures at night or while taking a nap so I was able to keep my driver's license.  I began having too m ... [More] any seizures that I had to quit my job and be put on disability.  I finally decided to go through with the brain surgery even though the doctors only gave me a 50/50 chance that the surgery would work.  It has been 6 years now since the surgery and I have been seizure free!  Still take Dilantin but not as high a dose and have not gone back to work.  I enjoy doing volunteer work and giving back to my community and joining sites like these to find out more information and to help others.   [Less]
