About Me: Female, 51, Monroe - GA, member since Sep 2008
I am Not the victim, but the surviver of a very drunk driver. She was a drunk tupperware lady I have been to tupperware parties but was never served drinks. The accident was in 1994. Subsequentially I was diagnosed w/ fibromyalgia. I have also had a cervical fusion at c ... [More] -5 and c-6 in 1996 which collapsed and was later redone. The surgeon who performed the opperation has told me that by the second surgery all she could do was damage control, so I am in constant pain. I suffer from depression as well as degenerative disc disease. I am also developing arthritis, the most troubling thing about this is that it is affecting in my hands. I love to do needle work, so as you can imagine that this deprives me of one of the few pleasures I can still enjoy. When your hands hurt and are swolen you are practially useless.
I used to garden much more than I am now able. I have only a small flower bed now and can barely keep up with the weeds. At one thim I would have had several flower beds as well as a fairly large vegatable garden. I really do hate buying tomatoes when I used to have such an abundance that my neighbors awlaws had plenty too.
This really stinks. I want my life back, or at least to learn new ways to deal with my pain and disabillities. It would be nice to just be able to clean my house. Sometimes I feel like I have been in pain forever. [Less]
