Allergy to DTP shot

My granddaughter (4 years old on May 24, 2006) had her DTP shot on May 30th, today is May 31st. She has a large, approx. 6" x 4" dark red inflamed, hot area around the site on her thigh. She says it doesn't hurt but it looks awful. Is this anything to worry about?	SST263 6/1/2006	.
