Sinus problems causing swollen glands/lymph nodes?

Could sinus problems cause a swollen gland/lymph node feeling in the neck? It's on the bottom left side and runs up into my chin/jaw and causes pressure in my left ear. My former ENT told me that when my sinuses act up so do my adenoids. I mentioned it to my new ENT and he did not have a word to say about it. Now I've had this since St. Pattys Day and my allergies, and sinus congestion have been out of control. Is this caused by my sinuses or is something else causing it? (I'm having a lumpectomy on the 31st so I am reading into everything).emper

I'm a 26 yr old male with chronic tonsilitis, so I believe. I have all symptoms: nasal drip, swollen lymph nodes in neck, trouble swallowing, burning throat, difficulty at times breathing, cough up pieces of foul matter. Now I seen to be having difficulty balancing at times. This has been on-going since Dec '04. A recent CT scan showed enlarged tonsils. My family physician said the ENT would be reluctant to remove tonsils and/or adnoids even after the few treatments with various antibiotics I've already recieved. I can't understand why. I have trouble with long conversations, my voice seems to have changed a bit all along with being in constant pain. Any suggestions!
