| my fiance has asthma and uses a inhaler the Abutoural (SP??). The last 6 months he has been having nose bleeds...some are bad and some stop within a few seconds. Sometimes he'll have them up to five times a day and then sometimes will go a few days with out. He has never done drugs and drinks maybe once a week. they will start at all times during the day even sometimes while in bed. He won't go to the doctor and i'm not sure what to do. Now on top off all this we just move in to our new apartment about two months ago, and now and it's only at night after his shower around bed time ...he breaks out in welts that itch and they get really big and are only on his torso, back and arms and just recently his hands break out. I put anti itch cream on them but it doesn't help. I haven't changed the laundry soap. Please let me know if you know anything that could help. | jenhasquestions 7/18/2006 | . |
| woops, what the heck...did a copy and paste (as reference) and obviously accidently hit "enter." That was strange. Sorry about that. Now onto my post: I have no understanding of inhalers and so, with that...are they known for causing nose bleeds? If not, anti-inflamatories cause blood thinning and I am sure, many other things but this comes to mind first. The other thought is a blood disorder? My ex husband has von willebrands (bleeding disorder) and I used to give him Vitamin K to help thicken his blood. Welts after showering, is he using a new soap etc.? My first thought was hives: http://www.intelihealth.com/IH/ihtIH/WSIHW000/9339/9434.html Hope he and you find a sollution. Best of luck. | borninquisitive 7/20/2006 |

| Albuterol can cause nose bleeds. From what you describe, he needs to see a doctor immediately. | wutthechris 7/20/2006 |
