.Sunday I started to feel a lot of pressure in my chest, I could still breathe fine...just felt like my chest was being crushed. That only lasted for a minute or two and then my face felt very hot and a burning sensation moved down through my entire body. As it moved down my body, I broke out in hives from head to toe. I had just eaten breakfast so I thought maybe I was allergic to something I ate. I took some benadryl and the hives went away. This morning I did the same thing, but I hadn't eaten anything, so it's probably not a food allergy. Any idea to what this could be?

nklewis well i get this but mine is exercise induced or emotional.....its cholinergic urticaria, not that its what you have but sounds similar to what i have. I also have exercise induced anaphylaxis which is the itching and shortness of breath and i can feel that move from my feet up to my head and its very itchy but no hives or rash. Perhaps you should see an allergist and have a few tests including some food allergy tests. good luck

.Maybe that is it. But I wasn't doing anything physical, I wasn't upset about anything...just sitting on the couch watching TV the first time and feeding my son his bottle the second time. When I get nervous or anxious, I do get hives...but they have never caused the chest pain. Or the burning. It felt like something was traveling through my viens..setting me on fire. And the hives didn't really itch like normal. I have never had any allergies to food, or household items. I have outdoor alleries in the spring and fall, but they just make me congested. I have never broke out in hives from them.

.Had you just showered, or used a new cosmetic? Or new laundry soap?

.I get this too but in addition I have rapid onset of swelling in hands and feet, then it all goes away. I can't figure out what is wrong with me.
