| I recently had FESS surgery because i had a deviated septum and concha bullosa. My whole reason for having the surgery was to get rid of my post nasal drip. Well i still have thick mucos collecting in the back of my throat. I drives me nuts. Last week, i had 8 nosebleeds in one day. NOW I HAVE A NEW PROBLEM!! Since the surgery four weeks ago i have developed this awful smell in my nose that will not go away. I feel like things have gotten worse since the surgery and my ENT spends about 2 minutes in the examing room when i am being checked. He doesn't seem like a caring doctor at all. I am looking for a new ENT! I am feeling hopeless. Has an one tried the Irrigation system? PLEASE let me know whats out there. What could be wrong with me????? | very sad 4/15/2006 | . |
| Has your Dr. put the scope up yor nose and down your throat since the surgery? It sounds gross, but you probably have a small piece of gauze or cotton rotting somewhere in your nasal passage. This will definately cause a foul odor, and excess sinus drainage. My friend's 4 year old stuck paper up her nose, and it took her mother wees to figure out why she smelled so bad. She kept bathing her, and changing her bed sheets. Finally she took her to the Dr., and found that her nose wasfilled with rotting paper. Have you ever smelled a paper mill? You need to get a scope done ASAP, and get a new Dr. if this one is not interested in you. | myproblem 4/15/2006 |
