| Hi, I just ate some fish and after the meal my lips got bloated and numb and afterwards my head began to feel heavy and it throbs from time to time. I havent really an allergy for seafoods but I am guessing this has to do with the freshness of the fish I bought at the market, I think it has some formalin in it to hide its freshness. I have taken an antibotic for this and I would like to ask on the symptoms of formalin posioning and what medicine to take for it. Appreciate the help! Thanks | saya 4/30/2006 | . |
| There is no antidote for formaldehyde poisoning. The description of swollen lips is consistent with an allergic reaction. Antibiotics will be absolutely useless. The treatment is to avoid the causative agent. Perhaps it is the certain type of fish, or something else you came in contact with. | B_Johnson 5/1/2006 |
