| my daughter, 17, has been experiencing intense itching in various parts of her body w/o any rash or marks of any kind. It is interfering with her daily routine. We've been to the dermatologist who is trying benadryl, different creams, etc. I'm wondering if it could be the Nuva ring she is using. She started it about 5 months ago but I'm wondering if the build up of hormones could be the culprit. There's has been no change in diet, soaps, etc. I called the pharmacist tonite and hse said that she has seen this before with oral contraceptives. Does anyone have any thoughts or experience like this? | motts 5/8/2006 | . |
| i wish i could help you but i just wanted to share some other itchy situations. you definitely might wanta stop her nuva ring. maybe she is allergic to it. i get itching w/ no rash but only in extreme weather changes or temp change of going inside to outside in cooler weather. maybe just take her to her regular dr so that they can do some blood tests. its my understanding that something like that is either nerve or blood related...good luck. | jifnif 5/15/2006 |
