| lizziecee 7/27/2007 | . | Hi Dr. Pho, me again - still having problems with my monthly blood tests with mtx. My haemoglobin is very low, MCV and MCH out of range and creatinine very low. Saw my gastro two weeks ago and he said : "Do you want quality or quantity or life?". Difficult to decide, as I want both. I now have a stricture in my small bowel, result from a recent endoscopy. Is there any treatment in the US that I can ask my doctor for other than mtx? I am on Arimidex for breast cancer, and Alendronic Acid bisphosphonate with Calcihew/VitD for osetoarthitis. My gastro says I have "empirical problems" - which I think means he is flying by the seat of his pants. I am at my wits end dealing with concurrent disease, but bc is a back marker compared to dealing with ongoing daily problems with diarrhoea, bone problems etc. Do you have any idea as to how I can go forward with treatment? | [Thread closed to new comments] |
