Good morning... how is everyone doing this fine Sunday morning? Yes, it is a fine morning, here and I hope it is where you are, as well.
It's been another quiet week - I'm still struggling with the stent from the Lithotripsy for my kidney stone and I'm definitely feeling like I've wasted an entire month, not being able to do things I normally do, such as my yard work, a lot of things around the house that require lifting, pushing/pulling, etc. I haven't passed anything resembling a kidney stone - just some very fine granules that were "so" fine I wasn't even able to scrape them from the strainer into the jar they gave me to save fragments into.
Anyway, I still have some things to do for the kitchen remodel, but am having a lot bladder spasms and pressure so am afraid to do the usual climbing and other things involved with what I need to get done. Needless to say, I'm not a real happy camper.
I did get a call from my cardiologist's office with results from an ultrasound they did on the arteries in my legs. They had checked to see if there was blockage in the arteries that could be causing/contributing to my shortness of breath. There is some mild blockage, but they said nothing to be concerned about at this point. They did say that I should walk as much as possible and I said I usually try to walk ~ a mile a day. They were very happy with that and said keep it up. I did mention the stent from the Lithotripsy and that I wasn't able to walk that far right now because of the pain/pressure, but they said to build back up asap. My neighbor and I have continued to walk daily and although I have been unable to walk as far or as fast as usual, I have done quite well. I was quite pleased this morning... With perseverance, I did manage to do the actual distance we normally do, just a lot slower. It's progress and I'm happy with it. We have 2 routes we walk and we've been doing the one closer to home because I haven't been able to do the entire distance but maybe this week, we'll be able to do the other route, since I can now handle the further distance. We'll see!!
Aside from struggling with all that, I try to keep my sanity by practicing my calligraphy and "trying" to make pretty cards to send for birthdays and other events.
Anyway, through all that, I've managed to lose about a 1/2 pound from last week. Not much, but down is down - at least it's in the right direction!!! Will see if I can get more momentum going with it this coming week.
We're off to run some errands. I hope everyone was able to meet their goals and look forward to hearing about it.
~~Wishing everyone a wonderful, successful week~~
