Outdoor allergies have two main culprits: pollen and mold. Pollen are the tiny cells that help to fertilize plants and flowers. Mold are tiny fungi that lack stems, roots, or leaves, and are commonly found in soil, on plants, or in rotting wood. Both mold spores and pollen particles float through the air and are easily spread by wind.
