Cellulitis

Cause: Cellulitis occurs when bacteria enters your body through a crack or break in your skin. While several types of bacteria can cause cellulitis, streptococcus and staphylococcus are the most common.

Where: These swollen, red areas of skin occur most often on the lower legs although, as seen here, they can also occur on other parts of your body or on your face.
