If you think of a can-shaped gelatinous blob when you think of this
fantastic fall fruit, you have a lot to learn about the humble
cranberry. While these tart beauties are well known for staving off
urinary tract infections, the same mechanism makes them protective
against cavities as well. Just stick to sugar-free or low-sugar
cranberry products like juice or fresh cranberries rather than overly
sweetened ones (I'm looking at you, jellied sauce).
