You may have been able to get away with staying up late in your college years, but skimping on sleep can have a big impact on your appearance. People who don't get a good night's sleep show signs of premature skin aging and a decrease in their skin's ability to recover from environmental stressors, like sun exposure, according to a University Hospitals Case Medical Center clinical trial.
Habitual lack of sleep has also been linked to obesity, diabetes, heart disease, poor immune function and ultimately, a shorter life expectancy.
