Taken as need for many years. Prior to Lyrica and Carbamezpine I would sometimes have a migraine once every week or once every three months.
Fall 2010- migraines rare since taking both Lyrica and Carbamazepine EXCEPT for that really bad migraine in Sept (approx) that caused me to go to ER. It was not at all a typical migraine and did not respond at all to sumatriptan.

Prednisone

Oct/Nov of 2009: started at high dose (60mg)
                              I didn't tolerate well (mood and sleeping) so got down to 40. That didn't sit well so I continued to taper to
                              5mg and held there for some time.
                              I think I got some benefit until I got below 20mg.
9/20/10: Last day of 5mg every day. Did every other day for a week.
9/26/10: Last day of prednisone
