Thank you so much for your kind words, I truly appreciate it!
Just a quick note to say hi! I'll be thinking of you tomorrow when you meet with your neuro to go over the MRI results. I hope the DMD is doing it's job!!
Just a quick note to say hi! Just checking in to see how retirement is treating you! =)
Just a quick note to say hi! Hope you guys didn't get too much damage from the storm last night!
Just a quick note to say hi!
UPdated in forum. It did not give me enough space here for my long laborious tale. LOL
Hugs right bavck for you! And thank you & ditto on your response to me, here for you too.
You are going through a lot at the moment, hopefully you will get to the point soon where it works for you & not hinders you more.
Stay strong, take care. Tania.
Just a quick note to say hi!
Hope you are doing well! I think I'm finally going to put the winter stuff away...we are safe, right?! ;-)
Just a quick note to say hi! Great journal entry, I'm sure it will help others about to embark on that DMD x
You deserve a big bear hug! 4 months but hopefully winning the mind game chick x
Sorry to see you are struggling, some years you just get everything chucked at you. Take a deep breath, smile through your tears and ask your children to help you make it a great Christmas - then have some suggestions about how they can help. Decorating the house/tree, making Christmas cookies, writing your cards etc You will get through this, until it eases though, big hugs and Christmas sparkles to help x
Hi, you are very welcome, it is lovely gaining the friendship of very kind people. I totally understand the ups & downs. It's just getting used to & knowing how to deal with them (still trying to find out haha) have a lovely weekend. Take care. T
Hi! I thought you lived in Rochester? I haven't had much opportunity to see the town, just the inside of Mayo ;-) Thanks, I'm really hoping for some answers!! Right now I feel like I'm spinning my wheels and spending lots of coin! =0
Have a great week!
Hi! Just checking in, the test wasn't bad at all, but yet again...came back normal. We spent 6 hours in the Neurologist waiting room yesterday for the follow up appt, a very sad place to spend the day! =( This Neuro thought it was my spine, but all tests and markers for inflammation haven't confirmed it, so, next step is to get another brain MRI (last one was in May), meet with the MS Neuro, & the PT department to see if they can help with my walking. For how much I've been to Rochester, we should probably just move there! ;-) Hope all is well with you!
Thanks for the "head's up"...pun intended! ;-) Oh shoot, was hoping your symptoms were just a little blip in the road...I too need to find my inner "om"! =). Will do, thanks for keeping me in your prayers, I'm doing the same for you! =)
Whoops, ran out of room! ;-) How are you doing? Remaining symptom free? It was so hard to get back into the school routine and especially sending the kids outside on such a cold morning!! Have you guys avoided the flu so far? We have (knock on wood!), but I'm just waiting for one of us to get it....(it will probably be me, with my luck! ;-)
Hope all is well!!
Hi there, thanks for the note & Happy 2015 to you too! Yes, absolutely "normal"...I mentioned it in my post about asking my son to vacuum the driveway (=-0) this has been such a crazy "adventure"! I'm adding another "Dr." to my arsenal of health care providers today, I'm meeting with an endocrinologist because my TPO antibodies are further elevated from my previous July results (which were also elevated). Thyroid problems run in my family on my Mom's side, so I always knew I would need to keep an eye on it. The Neuro does not think that is causing my problems. =( I am going back once again to the Mayo on the 12th for a somatosensory evoked potential & meeting with him in person again for another assessment to see if he notices anything different from the initial appt. Goodness!!
Thanks, it was an impressive place! I have been checking on the patient portal and so far all blood work has come back normal, the spine and xray have not come back yet. I just know that it is MS, but I sure hope they prove me wrong! It is nice that we can do a video conference with the doctor on Monday so don't have to find childcare and travel back to discuss. I'm keeping you in my prayers as well that your health scare is now over and you can carry on with "life". Doesn't sound like it's going to be a white Christmas, kids are kinda bummed about that! Hope you're having a great day! =)
Thank you, we are back home now with no answers yet. =( I had another MRI of the spine and a chest x-ray (I guess they can get a good view of the spine) and more blood work. I'm having great difficulty walking..messages just aren't getting communicated correctly, so I'm expecting they will find lesions on the spine. I declined the Lumbar Puncture until after the results of everything else, just so invasive and it wouldn't really tell me what specifically is wrong..just that there is inflammation. Hoping I never have to have that test, but I probably will sometime down the road =0. Just want to be fixed and so afraid I will lose the ability to walk as that seems to be declining fast! How are you doing?
Hi, just read your post that all significant tests have come back "normal" and you sound comforted/satisfied with your results. So happy for you and what a sense of relief that must be! Hoping it was just stress and that this is the end of your scary health journey! I'm heading to the Mayo on Monday and seeing a Dr. A.J. Aksamit in the Neurology Dept. Praying he can figure me out and provide an "easy" fix! Fingers crossed! Take care!
Absolutely, that would be great! That's fantastic to hear that your eye issues have cleared up...it IS hard and frustrating to be chasing a "ghost"! I hope your's reveals itself soon to be something with a quick and easy fix! Take care and we'll keep in touch! Karen
Yes, it's still coming down and the kids didn't have school...they are enjoying it, me...not so much! ;-) I'd be happy to send some snow your way so your kids can enjoy it too! =) Mine symptoms all started in May & I too am sooo tired of the tests...only thing I haven't done yet is the lumbar puncture, so far all tests results are normal (besides the vestibular deficit) but my body is telling me otherwise. =( I actually have an appt at the Mayo on Dec 8th, but from what I've read on here about it , I'm not holding out too much hope that they will be able to solve the mystery that is now ME because I am not fitting nice and neat into the "box" =( Yes, I wonder what "normal" feels like? I hope your husband has safe travels home!! Karen
Hi, noticed there was a fellow Minnesotan on here in limbo land as well! What do you think of this snow? ;-) Hoping you get answers soon for the symptoms you are experiencing!
