Hi. I'm thrilled that your cancer has done a disappearing act. Love it! Actually it was my husband's mom that passed away this year. His Dad is in a quick decline now mentally and physically. So sad to watch. My mom is slipping mentally which only magnifies her snarky attitude and negativity. But we do what we can to help her stay in her own home. Good news is we have 2 new grandbabies. We enjoy playing with the kids but also glad we're not at the stage any more. :-) Parenting is tough. Hope your summer is going well, not too horribly hot. Stay healthy, be happy. That's what I wish for you.
Yes welcomed in the newyear with having Grandkids here 3 out of 5 children and 5 out of 6 grandkids were here
on the 1st. I begin the new year out with having an EUS done next Fri at the Un of Colorado in Denver. May has not been
a good month for me for the last few years. May of 08 found a cancerous lump in my breast, May 09 had surgery to remove Gall Bladder, May -June-July 10 had severe left leg pain felt broken, May 11 had something happen internally
that caused my lymph nodes to swell followed by a severe and horrible pain from spleen filtering something through. Locally have had as much done as they can do so now a new type of EDG/ Ultrasound test for the 13th. I seem to hold on and keep on keeping on... slee
Just a quick note to say hi!
I was just checking to see how things are going for you?
I see you still post here and you are so helpful in answering questions.
Thank you for being a giving person. slee
Thank you for everything!
Just a quick note to say hi! Thank you for your words of comfort and healing. This is exactly what I have been trying to do.
Finished my 6th chemo treatment on Tuesday and hopefully on to recovery. I know it probably won't be quick but without more chemo being pumped into my body my good cells have a better chance of taking over. All in due course, I won't rush my recovery time and won't insist on going back to work too early like I did when I had breast cancer - there is more to life than work and I am blessed with a wonderful family.
I will continue posting and thank you for helping me through this, I have found that the Cancer Club has an excellent group of people who all have a common thread.
Thanks for the note and for thinking about me. I've been neglectful about the forum and about keeping up with folks. I'm hanging in there and hope to post a journal about what's going on with me soon. Hope this finds you well! Gail
Just a quick note to say hi!
thank you.... was origionally diagnosed with epithelial muconist ovarian cancer, second opinion on path report said lmp tumor, sent off to md anderson and waitin on that report. read a lot of good info on lmp tumors here. will do staging surgery after we get report back early this week.
thank you for checking on me. i will keep in touch
Thank you for the kind words. I've been hanging around for about 3 years. That's not a super long time but I've had the chance to meet some wonderful women. I think the memorial page is a great idea. It's a place to go once in awhile to remember all those people we knew even for a brief time. Hope you're doing well. Me? Same old stuff: take care of my Mom, grandkids, animals. Sometimes I think they're all related. LOL Today we have sunshine and I'm feeling relaxed. Ahhh. Take care.
Thanks dian07 for your advise... I'm grateful for anybody and everybody who helps- Thanks!!! :o) We will see what happens... setting up 2nd opinion app't tomorrow!! Feeling hopeful!! Thanks again! Amy
Thank you for everything! I appreciate your kindness and i am having ultrasound on the 16th and i already had gyn appt for the 9th so i will discuss things with him then. I am just so scared that it is hard for me to stay calm. I asked gastro who did colonoscopy if she thought it was cancer and she said no so i take that as a good sign!
Thank you for everything! Hi Dian, thankyou so much for the note it was really thoughtful of you. I did have a nice Birthday and spent it with my twin sister which was great.
I had my last Oncology appointment the day after on the 15th, I have reached the 5 year mark HOORAY lol ! . I hope that all goes well at your next appointment will be keeping everything crossed for you.
Take care, best wishes
Thank you for the note. I was struggling so much for a few days. Seemed like things were going to explode in my daughter's marriage. Now she seems to have given up for a time. We've offered our home to her but for some reason unknown to us, she's staying put. We talk to her every day to check in, stop by with treats (nectarines and OJ yesterday). She looks terrible. Wish I knew what to do. For now we continue to let her know we love her and just wait for her decision. hugs, irene

Thank you for your insight and real life experience as a Mom of this terrible disease. I have learned so much from my Mom, you and all the ladies on this forum. I am so in awe of your strength and perspective. Best wishes to you! Janice
Actually we were commenting on someone's journal and now I can't find the thread. He posted an artist's depection of Obama with a crown of thorns and proclaiming him as the Messiah. I found it silly but many were EXTREMELY offended by it.
For the record, I live in Canada but as a US citizen am still allowed to vote in federal elections. I'm a lifelong tree hugging, peacenik, bleeding heart liberal LOL!!
You don't really wanna know my politics do ya??? LOL! Yesterday Becky and I were involved in a discussion about Obama and the religious right in another forum. My husband tries to debate me about this stuff every day, good thing we've been married 27 years or I'd give him the boot!
Barry has already cut our grass, we have 3 cans of yard waste ready to go. I did some gardening on Saturday when it was 80 degrees, a little sore later but worth it! Cold and wet today but I love looking out at all the greenery, it makes for much better frame of mind.
Thanks for thinkin of me,
