Glad you are on HC - I never got on pred - would never accept it. I hope you can regulate your dose!
Not much but my pit stalk is thickened, which is a change that they are choosing to ignore, so I am mad. I did the whole ENT, saline thing for years so glad it is not me LOL but sorry for you. Gamma may be one shot, but look into the others. They push what they have, not necessarily what may be best - look first so you are happy. Remember the ray WILL effect all the tissue it hits all the way in. Rare potential for necrosis, but it happens. Since gamma is one shot, stronger ray. Hang in there.
Panhypopituitary! Were you expecting this diagnosis, or was it a shock? I hope that now at least your symptoms will be treated appropriately and you'll start getting your health back together again. Praying for your health and happiness,
Hey, sugarsmommy! Thanks for your mesage, and for posting a reply to me on the forum. Would you mind telling me your health story? What your symptoms were and how you got diagnosed? Did you have a crazy heat problem like mine? I've scoured the internet, but can't find any stories of people with heat problems like mine who aren't menopausal. I hope you're feeling well, and happy.
Pred is NOT a good replacement... why are you on it? Get on HC - more like what the body makes. I take almost all replacements too.
My tumor grew back too - but so far no radiation but I have done research. Note - the docs are going to push for what is at their hospital, not necessarily what is best, so look around. Make sure whatever you pick is at a place that does pituitary as you need special care and pinpoint radiation - leakage will effect eyes etc.
