Just a quick note to say hi! I know what you are going through. I saw your post and being that I am the same age and living with these darn skips, I thought I should say hello. I don't have time to write more now, but I went to my cardio yesterday and he is sending me to a pulmonologist to discuss sleep apnea. There is some new research about the effects of it on the rhythm of the heart. Very new stuff. Let me know if you ever want to talk.
Just a quick note to say hi! Not at all...just life is a bit hectic right now so I understand =)
Hope all is well with you.
Just wanted to check to see how you're doing, haven't seen you post much lately.
Hope all is well with you =)
I've heard of some people being in bigeminy for hours. I can't imagine how they tolerated the sensation. What I'm thinking is if it lasts more than 15 minutes, get to ER or urgent care. Not because you're in danger but because it would be great if they could catch it on an ECG strip and see exactly what's going on. A-fib can be dangerous if a person is "in" it for hours because of the chance of little blood clots forming. But most folks that have constant a-fib are also on blood thinners. If you have this once a week or so, you may be able to "catch" it by wearing an event monitor where you record it when it happens. See how things go. Hope you feel better.
that sounds like what happened to me the other night...woke me up from my sleep...after 16 years and every heart test and several monitors, they have never caught a-fib....I wonder too if that's what it is...hope you're feeling better soon...I was exhausted for 2 days afterwards..
Thank you for asking, it went very well. The first day, the night before we floated we all hung out and played washers and drank some beer, I was able to have several drinks and was pretty relaxed, I could tell I was having a PACS but kept replaying what the cardiologist said in my head. The next day we went on float trip and I had a few more beers....i was feeling them a little more but I was able to relax some and I had a really good time. Every day is a flip of a coin, don't get me wrong, I have them every single day, it's just that sometimes there are bunches and other days there may only be on every few minutes, I hate it. I would do anything to go back to how it was before. I am continuing on with zoloft and seeing a therapist to try and get my anxiety in order, thanks for asking!
You deserve a big bear hug!
