I just wanted to check in & say "hi!" Hi!! I'm loving your status..."peaceful---life is good." Isn't that what we all really want? Totally awesome.
Hope it was a good---no, a GRAND, day!
Wow you loss a lot of weight. congratulations. Keep doing what ever you do. Your doing GREAT :-)
Thank you, Tassa. I'm TRYING to keep that mindset, too.
In the past, I'd lose 8-11 lbs. the first week, 6-9 the second, 4-5 the 3rd then consistently 2 lbs a week for several months then 1 lb a month 'til I reached my goal. This time it's taken 6 weeks to lose 8 lbs. I have some injuries (shin splints, rotator cuff problem) that curtailed my exercise and now I'm having pain in my knees...I'm sure it's arthritis. It's a viscious trap: you have to exercise to lose weight to reduce the burden on your knees but your knees hurt too much to allow you exercise (I can't swim/don't have access to a pool for water aerobics). I'm saving to get a bike but with the heat/humidity, I won't be able to tolerate that much either. I'm so discouraged; if I didn't HATE myself fat, I'd throw in the towel.
Believe me, I understand how you feel!!! I'm frustrated this week as I'm going up & down, too. I'd been maintaining 183 for a while (and even dipped to 182) and thought..."okay, 183 is my new 'high'...it's all down from 183". I was hoping to hit the 170s in the next 2 weeks 'cause then the 150s are "only" 20 lbs away...and the 150s are only 20 lbs away from the 130s and being a normal sized woman again. BUT...here I am today, 183.4, UP 0.2 from yesterday. I've lost 50-100 lbs. several times in my life and even kept 90 lbs. off for 2 years, so I thought, "I just have to get back on track again. I have to get serious about my nutrition. I can do this, I've done it before." But this time instead of 8lb/wk, I'm losing 8lb/mo!
WOW!!! Your weight loss is SO inspiring to me!!!! Congrats!!
Congratulations! Wow! You are an inspiration! Keep up the great work.
Wow thats great then - low carb scares me - cause I like my white bread, and potatoes lol.
I have just cut down on my calories and increased my activity level - cut out most of the needless rubbish food, crisps, cakes, pastry, sweets, chocolate (though I still have treats).
I try to work on 55% carbs, 25% protein 20% fat. The food diary on here is great for working that out - I plan my meals a week in advance and put it on so I know my weekly amounts too.. x
