Hey how have you been doing? I hope things are getting better. My incision pain is finally subsiding, I am nearing three months in 2 days. I am going to take the rest of the month off and planning to go back to work in July. until then I'm walking, although sometimes my legs get so sore!, and just moving about the house, watering the grass and just resting. How was your visit at the uro-gyno? Hope you are feeling even more better...

Happy Memorial Day! It's nice to hear you are going back to doing normal things. My incision pain is subsiding too. My whole body feels so out of shape so I walk a bit outside to loosen up. My doc told me that the more I walk the more my body gets oxygen, and more circulation so it will be good for wound healing. I am sure you will be good for the gym soon, my friend who had the same procedure last year told me she still feels it every once in a while. I am just glad to hear you are doing better. Good luck with the uro-gyno. Are you seeing him about your planned pregnancy? Whatever it is I hope it goes well :)

hey just checking on you, how is it going? how is the pain now, any better? i hope you are doing ok at work. sometimes when you are busy it's good because you don't think about the pain so much. mine has gone down a bit but it is still bothersome and sometimes frustrating. i am going to talk to a family friend doctor so he can give me advice on how to manage the pain and what to do to help me feel better. i am not a big fan of pain meds but i am considering them for a while until my pain subsides even more. well, i'll see what the doctor advises me. recovery is not easy, but with time i guess all will be well. i wish you a speedy recovery and hopefully those twinges and pains will go away for good ;)......hang on!

Make sure your body is good and ready before you have the baby, you want to be energetic and good enough to take care of a little one. I pray that you get your wish, really. And honestly, you are still young and if you are meant to have a baby, you will have one whether you are 30 or 45 :) I am really yearning to just get up and move around like before, but I am also trying to not get frustrated because I haven't recovered as soon as I would've liked to. I will just wait until I am a bit more better before I go back to normal stuff. Keep getting better!

Hey, it's good to hear from you! Glad to hear you are back at work and busy. The pains for me are a bit better these past few days. Yeah I have the twinges too, I am just very careful in the way I move. I have flu like symptoms about 5 days and I am almost done with the antibiotics, my UTI has gone away. I am currently resting and taking a lot of vitamin C and i'm ok. I really wish you the best and hope you can recover fully soon so you can have that baby! I really hope that you don't have to do another surgery, and if you really do I hope it goes well. I used to have Kaiser a few years back, I really liked them, but well it might not be the same everywhere. I haven't tried the Vitamin E, i will get it tomorrow. Another good friend like you told me about it, so I will definitely try it.

Yeah it's a relief that at least now my pain is better, the past two days it's been a bit painful, it just has its days. I guess it's gonna be like that until it starts to fully heal. It is still frustrating sometimes but other times I have good days. With me, both incision areas hurt, it's not just one. Please let yourself heal before you plan for a baby. Make sure everything is well. I have a friend who did the same surgery and she told me it took her 4 months to get better. Your body has its own agenda and now i have really understood that everyone heals on their own time. Good luck with your ultrasound. I think it just takes time to heal, i know, it's frustrating but you're not alone ;) what a nice principal you have, it's good she has a sub just in case but i'm sure you'll be fine.

Hey I was just checking with you. How have you been? I hope things are looking up! My incision pain is getting better, I am still at home but it's getting better so I'm being patient and waiting until I am fully able to do normal activities. I posted my concerns with my incision pain on the expert forum and one of the doctors replied and told me that laparoscopy is major surgery and healing time might be frustrating but all will be well. I thought I might share that with you too. I was just dropping by to check on you, you are in my prayers :)

I'm starting to have my doubts about your doctor!  Why leave the tube when there was a perfect opportunity to remove it during the first surgery. Second and future surgeries are more complex due to scar tissue from prior surgery, so I would not rush any surgery unless there was a reall compelling reason for it.  And the toll it takes on you....as you already discovered...is not worth it unless there were life threatening reasons such as a cancer risk.

It might be a temp side effect of surgery. They clamp off blood vessels to stop bleeding and it could pinch nerves in the process.  Give it time to heal.  I am sure it is upsetting, though.  Hopefully the typical remedies like Ibuprofen (Advil) will work on those pains in the meantime.

Acupuncture doesn't hurt me. How often do you do it? I do it twice a week, I used to do acupuncture even long before I had the surgery and it helps. If it bothers you that much then you should maybe stop. I had just endo removed, the only way they can catch the endo is by laparoscopy surgery, that's the only way to see it. I went through 3 months of hell before they decided to do the surgery. I didn't have a lot of it, but sometimes even with a little it can be very painful! I am glad i don't have that kind of pain anymore and I am now just focusing on healing. I am also on continuous birth control to suppress the Endo and prevent it from returning. I am also taking some chinese herbs. Have a great day and continue to feel better :)

I am glad I am feeling better too. It felt like this moment would never come but I am resting a lot and trying to be patient, I think it is helping my body heal. I still get the stabs in the morning but they are better in the afternoon. I hope that they go away for good soon!!! 4 days without stabs that is great progress! I'm on my 7th week so hopefully by my 10th I will be stab free lol! I don't even know how you did the surgery after the miscarriage, maybe you thought to just get it out of the way. Emotionally when you're down after something like that and not to mention when your organs are still in shock, that might have contributed to the delay in your recovery. but it sounds like you are recovering well none the less and I am so happy for you!

I am soooo sorry about your miscarriage, what a bummer! I can't even imagine what you've been through and I have never been pregnant but at least I am glad you are ok. Your health is what matters most and with God's help you will have the kids that you want. Yeah, you should wait a bit till you are fully able, your child needs you and you need to be healthy enough to take care of them. I will keep you in my prayers. I haven't tried the message yet, my acupuncturist said she would open my scar tissue with the acupuncture. she did it yesterday and i feel better. My friend who had the same surgery told me to wait because my muscles are still forming and massage should wait. I did regular back massage and I slept real well last night. And you'll be surprised what a little prayer can do :) I

This week I'm feeling better, thanks. I am doing the acupuncture with herbs and it is helping me. I am not walking anymore, I stopped doing that after the fourth week when things got worse. I am just taking it easy, not doing any work even at home. I am resting and just moving about a bit in the house. I think things will get better if i keep taking it easy. The crazy stabs are better even for me, I feel a lot of stretching and the twinges around my incision. I have been on the pill since the surgery so I haven't had a period for a while. My GYN said i need to take it so that the Endo won't come back, even though I had little of it.

Hey I came across myofascial release, which is a type of massage that releases adhesions that might form after surgery, when your tissues are trying to heal. It helps a lot with the pain and the feeling of being uncomfortable with it, and I am going to ask my acupuncturist if she can do it for me. Surgery only makes it worse because when they remove the old adhesions you can develop new ones. This is just a 4-5 massage session and people have told me it works miracles. I thought I would let you know, maybe you might want to ask your doctor about it, most physical therapists and acupuncturists can perform it. good luck on monday :)

and of course, my family has been incredible and has been taking care of me so that helps a lot. i move about the house but i don't walk anymore outside. do you think i should wait a bit before I start walking 20-25 mins? I will give it one more week of rest at home before i start taking walks outside again. of course the weather is so beautiful and i am always aching for a walk. thank you for being so understanding and i appreciate all your notes! good luck with your doctor on monday, hopefullly he's more help than the others before. don't do too many CT scans because it's not good for your body to be radiated so much, of course unless it's necessary. my CT is fine too. ttys and have a good weekend :)

Hey I got your number. I deleted the post so that your # is not visible. Wow so what does your dad tell you? Yeah I think you should wait for another surgery, think about another recovery period :( If you are getting better like you said you are then you should just wait. I had the surgery as a last resort, once ur body has been opened up it will not be the same. I will not stress because all that does is make you worse and for what? We can all go back to regular schedule for it will always be there. The pain is uncomfortable and sometimes frustrating, but I think I am getting used to it and I'm just trying to nurse my body. It doesn't hurt when I poop but I still have gas pains. the nurse told me to LET IT OUT!

Hey how is the acupuncture working for you? I hope you are feeling better. I decided to do acupuncture and had a session yesterday, I will have another one tomorrow. My lady gave me some herbs too, tea pills to clear bad blood.  I have known her for about 2 years now and she's really good, got 30+ yrs experience under her belt. I feel ok this morning, I wanted to see if it had helped you. I am going to do two more sessions and see if there is hope, I am really positive about this! better than pain meds, i haven't taken any today. You are in my prayers and let me know how it goes.

The last GYN substitute doc I saw on Wednesday told me it might be because I started walking more now and my insides are still healing. But should it hurt this bad? It hurts like hell! Yeah it's that really bad soreness around my incision and it's really painful. My goal is to get better and get these painkillers out of my system. All they do is just mask the pain, but they do help for the moment, even though I'm not a big fan. The pains got bad after Sunday, until then I was doing well and seemed to be healing fine. I don't know what triggered the pain so suddenly so I am going to find out next week. I feel like I went back three weeks, like the first week I had the surgery. I hope u are in better condition :)

I went to visit my doctor on Tuesday and he told me he was going to talk to my gynecologist so she can see me. On Thursday I spent much of the day at the hospital because I was in excruciating pain. the ER doc who saw me ordered a CT scan of the abdomen and everything looks fine. I don't have any signs of infection in my urine but he gave me antibiotics anyway for 5 days to clear any infection. He said i had two red blood cells in my urine but nothing to worry about. Since my bloodwork looks fine too he wants me to see my GYN who did the surgery soonest possible. I will see her next week, most probably Monday even though I'm scheduled Wednesday. I don't know why it's still hurting, I am taking Hydromorphone for the pain for now.

i went to see my doctor because i have that stabbing pain around where the incisions are and my doc said that it shouldn't be hurting at this point. he wants to send me to my GYN doc who did the surgery to see if everything is all right. everything looks fine on the outside, but the past couple of days the pain has been really bad. he gave me pain med for now, Tramadol, i took one a couple of hours ago and it's better than the Tylenol. I am just so concerned, i feel a lot of soreness, do you have that still? i was supposed to go back to work this week but i am going to lay low until i feel completely better.

I won't be getting my period anytime soon b/c I am on continuous birth control for six months fpr the Endometriosis so I guess it is sort of a good thing. I will try the Ibuprofen. I was taking 600 mg before the surgery but I haven't taken it since. I guess I should rest, I thought moving about should help, I've been doing some work around the house but not too much, and like you said I might have overdone it.
I will just try walking a bit and resting the rest of the time until the pain subsides. My surgery was exactly a month ago. Is that 2 early to tell? I just thought I would be all set by now, they tell you it's a simple procedure but the recovery isn't a piece of cake. I will try the gluten free diet. I will be seeing my doctor tomorrow so we'll see how it goes. Thanks!

Hey thanks for your input last time. I have been resting, but also walk 20-25 minutes a day because my doctor said to move about as i can so that my muscles won't be so weak. I am still in pain from the stitches. some days worse than others. i am getting really frustrated i am taking Tylenol Extra Strength which helps a bit. I was planning to go back to work part time but i don't know. How are you feeling now? Do you still have pain from the stitches? Mine are like sharp, stabbing pain. I am going to see my doctor tomorrow but i thought i would ask someone who's been through the same experience. thanks!

For me the pains of overdoing it while healing would come after the fact.  A few hours later, I would be in a world of pain.  I did have one shocking moment when I felt internal stitches pop open during a bathroom visit.  Scared the you-know-what out of me.  Had pain at the incision for a couple of days after that before it subsided.  I think the stitches were meant to pop at some point, not so much something that I did wrong.  Oh what fun, right?

It was a gradual improvement for me.  I needed 8 weeks to feel mostly recovered.  Things like pushing a vacuum could really set me back, even months after that.  I had pain so bad for 2-3 days, I could not walk erect, but hunched over instead. Just by doing nothing strenuous, plus Advil, I improved without seeing a doctor.
