no one seems to know! just hang in there, keep your hearing protected, and avoid swimming. the imbalance would point towards the fluid buildup i think. take care

I'm glad you are starting to feel better.
If you don't have a full recovery or relaps please look into checking for type-3 allergies. I also had a good response from steroids, but you don't want to be taking them forever or for any long period of time (they are a form of poison, and have nasty side effects both short and long term)
