Just wanted to say "hi" since I was on MedHelp responding to someone. I don't have a chance to go on this site too often since I am working and don't get messages or requests regarding ablation too often. Hope you are doing well. I am doing great. Can't believe it's nearly been 4 years since my ablation. Write back if you have a chance, let me know how you're doing. Take care, Jannie411

Just a quick note to say hi! "Tin man" you referred to in a post on "ticking heart sound" assumes these younger people might remember the Wizard of Oz - well, for all I know there is a current "tweet" fad or some other media that keeps this story alive.... hope you are doing well and recall reading in one of your replies about winning some athletic event, congratulations - keep up the good work.

Just a quick note to say hi!
Thanks for the CPAP explanation, guess I had it about right except for the "details" ;) As for pulling the tube out, if you are referring to the breathing tube that is inserted during some surgeries, I'd not call it "strange feeling" more like painful... or as the doctor likes to say, some discomfort. See you all around the communities, I see you too have more than one health concern - could have something to do with age.

Just a note to say Hello :)

I've been keeping an eye on the webcams over Boston and NY and it looks unreal. A couple of my friends have just returned from a vacation in Cuba and they were hit badly out there. Their hotel got flooded and the roofs were all brought down. Us brits complain about our weather but we have nothing compared to you guys. I have a great aunt in Boston so we are hoping they will be ok. Least your son and his wife are safe! well hope the storm dies out soon and it all clears up over there.

hey tom. Hope you and your family are safe and not affected by sandy! I was just wondering when you had a hematoma whether it was really obvious or if you just had pain? I ask because my right groin area is still painful and really bruised. I'm going to call my dr but thought i'd ask you what your experience was like? I'm thinking mine could just be bruising in the muscel or something but bit fed up as it's nearly a week since I had the ablation.anyway take care.

Thank you. Yes-every day i have more energy and feel better. I am looking foward to going to work today. I am looking foward to getting back into my exercise routine but in the meantime walking and housework is good. Reading about your recovery and your skating is an inspiration to me. I have lots of hope. I picture myself digging our large vege garden soon.

Thank you for accepting my friend request and for your helpful reply to my request for support.
I read your journals when I came across the medhelp community after googling WPW ablation.
I'm glad you wrote them. They were helpful to me and I'm sure help many others.

Yeah they said they have to wait 6 weeks before trying again. My legs just feel very stiff and bit achy like i've been horse riding far too much.lol oh well time to relax. Thanks for your support!

hi. I went in for ablation but they couldn't do it due to putting a sheath into the artery instead of the vein. So would of been too risky to carry on. So feeling abit dissapointed but also very glad they stopped. Right leg aches alot but least i'm home to chill now. Hope u r well.x

thank you so much Tom! Fingers crossed it sorts out my SVT! I am feeling very nervous about it, but just want to get there and get it done now.

Thanks, Tom for the compliment...I appreciate that!
07/12

thanks for your reply Tom. I am getting to that point now actually, where i am fed up of feeling tired, lightheaded and having the palpitations now and then. I just need to count down till my date and keep thinking of how i will feel after i guess. Did it take you long to feel normal again after? I've been told to take a week off work, but was wondering if that will be enough. Any excuse to get out of work.lol Rachel

Hello Tom. Thanks for all your posts. I've been a mix of emotions knowing that i have my ablation on the 14th September. i have been diagnosed with WPW and can;t wait to get rid of it, as long as the ablation works! I was just wondering what you felt like before you had the procedure? One minute i am apprehensive and nervous, then the next i am really excited. Thanks again for your updates and info. Rachel x

Hi Tom, yeah the drugs were amazing, I dont know if I was asleep or awake and zapped of memory, but I do remember waking with a racing heart and then must have been sedated again.. Yes Im having the ectopics trying to ignore them, and I'm breathless at times but could be a ouch of anxiety still. Have walked around the lovely town that is 'Walsall' today, achy leg as a result.. Hope you are well

Hi Tom, just thought I would post a note to say Hi, I had my ablation done on wednesday, i'm taking it steady but tempted to just get on as normal as I don't feel too bad. They said it was a success - i had AVNRT. I know time will tell. Thank you for your response when i posted my original post. Hope you are well

Just a quick note to say hi! Hi Tom, great to hear from you. I'm fine, had my 1 year follow-up appointment with my EP last week. He said I was one of his success stories and he doesn't need to see me anymore, unless anything comes up. (I've posted the details in my journal, if you're interested.) How are you doing?
04/12
Hi tom. I'm still finding my way round this forum and just noticed you sent me a note...hope you get this as I'm not sure it'll work! I've already chatted to you on the forum about my ablation but thought I'd let you know that I'm doing well, keeping my spirits up and although my heart is a bit fast, especially at bed time, I haven't had any more SVTs. Hope you're well

After 7 months the bruising did not go away. I don't think it ever will.

Just a quick note to say hi! Hi Tom! How have you been? I know you have had some trouble a while back. Ok now? Hope so! Debbie

08/11
Hope it all works out for you Tom. We're all pulling for you. I think we're all painfully aware that it could happen to any of us.
08/11
So glad to hear you're feeling better. Are you still able to exercise?
08/11
Just wanted to say "hi" and see how you are doing. Hope you are feeling better.
07/11
Just a quick note to say hi! I read earlier in one of your posts that you mentioned eating blackberries, and you wondered if eating them causes palps. I have noticed also that when I eat strawberries, oranges, anything citrisy can cause palps for me so I avoid those things. Maybe just a coincidence?I dont know.

Just a quick note to say hi! Hi ,tom I hope your feeling better, and hoping you get your problems resolved soon.Im only 3.5 weeks from making my trip to get my cryoablation. Im praying I dont end up with problems like your having. Feel better sooooon!!
07/11
Hi Tom, Thanks fpr your note. Haven't been online much as I am visiting family in the UK. I am still having exactly as you described, the feeling of a short run of SVT which never reaches full blown SVT. I am currently with a portable monitor and have 16 events, 3 of which need to be shown to a doctor. I will return home on the 10th and then go and see the doc. I am also just going to ask him to refer me back for another EP study to see if I need a touch up.
Hope you start to feel better soon and regards to everyone on the board from over here
Jan
