It was so nice of you to send me that pick me up. Although I'm only doing 24 weeks total, somehow it's all caught up with me this morning, the first treatment, the sickness, my transplant and I'm so tired of this.
But yes, I will persevere and be hep C free.

Thanks so much, started on the 2nd, I am so weak, didn't think it would hit this fast. When I did the SOC in 2008 I was told it would take 4 to 6 weeks to get used to feeling sick, do you they say that anymore?
Thank you

I'm certain that damage will be reversed. I don't talk about it on this forum, but my dad was an alcoholic w/ end stage cirrhosis. (one of the reasons I never drank) He had varices, ascites, all the bad symtoms. He was hospitalized in a hepatic coma for 2 weeks. After he quit drinking, he was as active as could be. I watched him use nutrition and healthy lifestyle to literally come back from the grave. Then went on to work hard, retire, and enjoy 20 more years of life with his grandchildren and even great grandchildren! The liver is an amazing organ. You betcha we're gonna heal... Karen xo

Just a quick note to say hi! Hello Pam, just want to say hello. How is everything?

Yes, it was an unexpected turn of events, but they told my husband it was end of the line. When his hgb bounced up and down, it wasn't too bad, but 5 weeks at hgb 8, they were concerned about his cardiac issues. Nurse said... "Never mind his liver, he'll have a heart attack if he keeps going!"... so off treatment for the moment... I'm hoping it's forever! I called the nurse today hoping for PCR results, but no call back... it is a bit on the early side... I keep saying to myself... he's gotta be SVR, 139 weeks!... but we know this virus and SOC comes with no guarantees. One day at a time, they say :).

Nice to hear the light does get brighter even after you get to the end of the tunnel! Here's to hoping your recovery is complete and 100% soon!

Really glad to hear that you seem to be getting better and better everyday friend... The amount of time you endured on tx. can be a real assault on the bod...but the ability to repair itself is truly amazing :).

Bummer about the productivity part; I was hoping that the enjoyment would be directly linked to the ability to get something done. I guess the sx is not just physical fatigue, but mental as well. Brain fog? Oh well, looks like I have lots more to learn . . .
06/11
Thanks for the helpful note, Pam. "Enjoying" the fatigue is at least one positive. Your other remarks about naps, early nights, fluids, etc. are important; thanks for sharing them with me!
06/11
Glad you are having "nun" of that. The "habit " thing would ruin my thought process :)
