Wishing you and your family a happy holiday season! Hubby's most recent follow up with hepa was good (ultrasound, lab work, and check up) on 12/5/13. Still well compensated, so sign of cancer. Next follow up is in June.
How are you Gene?

Hi Gene, hubby's hepa thinks that the new treatment for G1s will be a 12 wk course of sofosbuvir, ribavirin, an interferon, and she hopes it will be approved by October and available for docs to prescribe by December. I hope she's right. You and my hubby should be first in line! :)

Woohoo! I *was* worried. So glad you are okay!
With global warming (I know you don't believe in it :) ) there is nowhere to run, guy.
Just pls stay safe with your family.
By the way, did the birds leave?

Just a quick note to say hi! I hope you are safe with the tornado ripping through your state.

His hepatologist thinks that the new meds will be available by December, and for G1's it will be 12 weeks of sofosbuvir, interferon, and ribavirin.

Love your pics. My goal is to go to our so called secret lake this summer!! By car. Lol!!

Haha! I envy you your backwoods and backyard birds.
I don't see a lot of those guys on the coast. Mostly sea birds, corvids, sparrows and finches...nobody real colorful except maybe the redtail hawks.
Nature is a joy, eh?

thank you for your friendship, gene.

Just a quick note to say hi! Thanks for getting back to me on the incivek. I really had hoped that incivek and victrelis would be the cure for everyone but that wasn't to be. There is great hope for the future though. It sounds like you are handling it well. I hope to hear that you got in a trial and get the cure soon. Best wishes,
G

It was a nice family holiday, just the four of us. However, I did not get my bear hug. I will need to complain about that tomorrow.

Thanks for the best wishes. I've already found gaviscon to help manage the nausea. I'm one of those people that can count on my fingers the number of times I've vomited in my life, so this has been a real shock to me. Gaviscon helps with the nausea and I haven't actually vomited. Wretching doesn't count. About all I'm able to eat is my three fatty meals. I try to work in some fruit or veggies in between. It's a learning process. A day at a time. Garry
