Hi Pam,
You had answered one of my posts a few days ago. My sister was diagnosed with 1a grade 3 ovarian cancer with a second primary uterine cancer (not as aggressive as the ovarian but not sure of the grade) She had surgery on June 30th at North Shore University Hospital on Long Island. I would like for her to see someone at Sloan Kettering for her chemo but the written pathology report just came in today and the operative report is not ready yet.. The people I am dealing with at sloan are saying that they are running 5 weeks behind in scheduling appointments (and I am sure at least another week to schedule treatment). Is this too long to wait for chemo or am I being too impatient? Do you know what the optimum amount or the minimum time from the date of surgery chemo should start. Thnx.

Pam: Just a quick note to say hi! Sorry I haven't kept in touch better. Ella went through a tough time following her most recent chemo .. tired all the time, disinterested, couldn't get comfortable and no sleep. A visit to the doctor for additional medication plus the passing of a few days seems to have helped a lot. She is feeling much better now. Only two more chemo sessions to go before we find out what's next. Hope you are doing well. You are in our thoughts and prayers often. Love, Paul & Ella.
