Disability: SSDI

You might find this information helpful. Here is the 3rd party company I am using to get my disability because of my cirrhosis. They give you a good overview of getting disability for hepatitis C.

Of course when you are ready to apply, go to Disability tab on the Social Security page. You can return to the same site to complete the forms until you are ready to submit them. Go to the following web site.

No problem. Glad to help.
I have been decompensated for about 2 years now and am listed for a transplant here in San Francisco. So I am very familiar with cirrhosis and its health aspects. I regularly have a ultrasound or CT and have my AFP levels checked every 3 months to look for HCC. Besides having hepatitis C I also have been exposed to hepatitis B. Being exposed to both increases my chances of getting HCC in comparison to a person with cirrhosis that was only caused by hepatitis c.

I have also just applied for SSDI as I haven't been able to work because of fatigue and encephalopathy (ammonia effecting my brain and thinking). If you have particular questions about SSDI you can ask me and I can tell you what I know from my experience.
