No nausea, mostly just stomach upset and gas. I have to be careful what I eat, no beans, no oils, limited veggies, doesn't leave much since I already don't eat red meat! How do you get by with no insurance? I would be terrified of some freak accident. I have insurance but it is costing me $750 per month and I can't afford to keep it much longer. I'm hoping this new insurance program set to start in January will offer some relief. I'm too young for Medicare, don't qualify for Medicaid and used up Cobra. Hope you're feeling better!
1b, CT, started 2/27 on 12 week with riba with vl of about 8 million. 39 at week 2, waiting for results of week 4. Hemoglobin down to 10.9 from 16. May have to dose reduce riba. Some gastro issues, some headaches. This is a piece of cake compared to treatment with interferon! Will post week 4 results ASAP. congrats to you!
The first week I had gastro problems. After that I was good for 10 weeks. Then from 11-14, just didn't feel well and I think it was week 13 I had another night of feeling so nauseous, that went on for days. I stopped tx on week 14.
Dr F is still my guy too. I continue to feel very fortunate to have his as my hepatologist though these days, I need him less and less~ a good thing.
Congrats on getting into the Gilead trail. The future of hep C treatment looks bright, indeed.
I do try to help whenever I can. I just moved and haven't got connected online at home, on purpose, forcing myself to take a break. But I will do whatever I can to help reassure this woman.
Hope you're doing well, enjoying the beauty of the sea :)
Thanks, Purplecat. I'm glad for your great news and your words of hope. I will hang on to hope for that great tx! Enjoy your SVR. Susan400
Great news! I'll check the forum now.
someone else complained of headaches, but I haven't had them. Maybe one or two slight ones along the way. I'm in my 13th week. I guess my biggest complaints would be gastro and tiredness.
Apparently they've changed the color of that pill. Mine is a big blue pill.
Somehow I missed your note from November!
Yes, Dr. F. never tested me for ammonia however he has been so helpful.
I got back from Thailand on the 1st of January and am preparing for a live liver transplant in Taiwan. In fact we should be there by early April.

Hey there. I forgot my password so I haven't been here for a while. I'm currently visiting my daughter in Arizona after seeing my son and first granddaughter in DC. Two weeks was too long in that strange place.
Other than my ankles swelling on the plane, I'm doing alright.
I'm ready to come home and I have a commission to work on of a gorgeous view from my mountain top neighbor's when I get home.
Hope you're feeling well.
Just a quick note to say hi! Have you got the results of the biopsy yet? I just read in your profile you had one scheduled May 22...
