You may want to ask your doctor to check for H. Pylori. My came back positive. It requires multiple antibiotics to be taken together for a longer course to eradicate. But after the bacteria were eradicated from my stomach, my symptoms are completely relieved.
If that's not the cause, getting an ultrasound done WHILE you are having a severe attack may be helpful in diagnosis.
Hope you feel better!
We are also in the Columbus area. My daughter was diagnosed with Type 1 a few weeks ago and we are still working to find more information. Since my daughter is only 16, we are working with a doctor at Children's Hospital.
Just a quick note to say hi! Hi...I am here in Columbus and so far, the I have seen a few NS, even had conversations with one out of state. I have been to see Dr. Prevedello (at OSU) twice, and have heard good things about him. Are you familiar with him? His name does pop up regarding his work with Chiari, but not as much as some of the other more regarded Chiari doctors. I am on his schedule for surgery in early January. I go back and forth (daily/hourly?? LOL) and am feeling a bit crazy about finding the "right" doctor. Those around me (family, friends, etc) think I am making too much of it and don't understand why I am worried. But when I read different stories and posts, I second guess myself. Where are you in your chiari process?
Welcome to our Chiari community! : ) "selma"
