Congratulations! Time for a celebration...

so happy to hear, especially because of your worries about elevated ALT's. That's three SVR's today and two of you worried about elevated ALT's!

I'm sorry about not posting on your thread on the main board. I'm avoiding posting on the main board until a wonderful, respected long-time member is re-instated by MH, hopefully tomorrow.  Until then, big congrats on this happy, happy news.

Just a quick note to say hi!
I saw my dermo today and he said the Locoid is very mild to the skin and it is the best for rosacea. He said any day for the new drug coming. He said all you do is put the lotion on and it gets rid of the redness and pain. I want it so bad. I will let you know as soon as I find out it is released.

I asked my dermatologist when I first was diagnosed with inflammatory rosacea and he said Locoid is the most gentle for this condition. I was worried about steroid cream but he said Elidel or that type would be too harsh. You might just ask?? I have very dry and sensitive skin since the Interferon.  Good luck.

Sorry..I have no name...He said he went to a seminar and saw the patients in the study and the results ere remarkable. He siad the drug company had not name for it at that time (1 yr ago). He thought it would be out soon after. I see him tomorrow and will ask if he knows any more now. I want it ASAP but it won't help my eyes. I will stay in touch. Let me know how you are doing. BTW why won't your doc give you Locoid? I think it is more safe than what you are using.
later!

how are you? I am struggling with the rosacea more and more...my eyes are so painful with the bright red blood vessels and I take the Doxycycline every day. My face hurts too but the eyes are just too much many days. I wish the drug company(interferon) would help me and any others with this problem. Let me know what you are doing?
Blessings,

I too have severe rosacea and I also have ocular rosacea post treatment. I take Doxycycline 50 mg. everyday for life. Also use Locoid cream on my my face. Use cetaphil soap for cleansing. There is hope coming soon. My dermatologist told me that a new cream is waiting FDA approval any day. It promises to do magic for the face. nothing yet for eyes but Doxy.
Have a great day

Have you found any answers to help you? I was told I have Rosacea but not the typical kind....My face was blistered all over. The dermo called it inflammatory rosacea. I will let you know when my doctor gets the new cream just ready for FDA release...He gave me Atopiclair which is new and it has helped with the redness.

Hi, I have had severe rosacea since I completed the IFN tx..48 weeks..I see a great dermo and he said it is from my immune system and I take Oracea pill and use Locoid cream on my face at night.  You should use a mild soap called Cetaphil. It is very inportant that you keep it under control. I hope this helps...Also there is a new cream waiting for the FDA to give last approval and it is suppose to be a miracle cure for rosacea. He said any day and he will call as soon as it comes..I just saw him this morning.
