You could always get a second opinion from another chiropractor.
Me again - I see you are interested in crystalens. Lostvision just wrote a couple of times to me. He seems lost.
What a help you and Jodie have been! You are saying clearly what I have been getting bits and pieces of - doctors may be good surgeons but not good communicators! Thank you so very much for taking the time to write to me!!
I took offense at your very first reply to my post. I admitt the post was brief and to the point. However, if you wanted clarification than you could have asked nicely, instead I took your tone in the reply to be rather nasty. You seem to think the answer was a snap and uneducated one. Well it wasn't.
Also, I do have retinal problems, which explains why I see a retinal speciaist, and have lost much of my vision as a result. So yes, I do know what it's like to be losing your sight. I also, see no point in arguing w/ you further as it does not help either of us. Plus, from the age given on your profile, you're over twice my age and I don't wish to cyber-spar w/ someone who is so much older than I.
You're right I'm not a doctor. However, I make it my priority to TALK WITH MY DOCTOR. I've asked my RETINAL SPECIALIST the exact question and the answer I gave you is just what was told to me. Yes, I read about your CME, but that doesn't change the answer. Also, I repeat if you did a search of the forums you would find that your question has been answered numerous times by the forum doctors. Plus, now that you've recieved an answer to your question from the forum doctor which pretty much affirms my original post, you should be satisfied.
Speaking of rudeness, your replies to me have been less than kind. If you can dish it but can't take than why dish it out in the first place??!!!!
Hi .... hope you "get" this...please let me know.
Hi Buttercup...Good luck with the ultrasound. I want to hear everything. My understanding is this is a closed site but we aren't naming names, etc., so I feel pretty safe. A Nurse Rep. from Baush&Lomb called me for info regarding my complaints with C. lens. She said it is clearly stated on the Surgeon's Instruction Sheet that many people will need reading glasses after implants. She also told my surgeon that B&L were not required by the FDA to put in any disclaimers regarding meds and their effects upon the lens. My doc is trying to place the blame on B&L instead of admitting her own incompetence. I am not letting go until I get my $4K back. I wish there was some way for us email each other without constraints but I can't figure out how to. Can you?
Just a quick note to say hi! Thanks so much for sending me to Ellex.com. I read the article "US Evaluation of Crystalens". I'm calling my surgeon Tuesday about the article. She wants to read all she can find about Crystalens.
She has her lawyers working on getting my $4000 refunded. She discovered on her own that one of the side effects of the antidepressant I'm taking stops me from accommodating the new lens. Crystalens made a mistake by not putting a disclaimer in their advertising and they should be held responsible. She believes I have every right to ask for a refund. So we're letting her do the work to get our refund back. I know it's not going to happen overnight but I WILL get my $4K back!!
The spears of light I see can be easily fixed.
Just a quick note to say hi! Darn, they won't allow email addresses be posted. So I'll just have to keep leaving note after note...:-)
I am stunned to hear you paid $9K for your lens. I only paid $4K and think that was too much. We both got ripped off by surgeons with $$ signs in their eyes. I live in Phila. suburbs. If I went to city doc, I probably would have paid more.
Please tell me if you are having any problems with halo's at night. Mine suddenly started last week & are really bad! I'm seeing doc tomorrow to find out what's going on. I'm interested in hearing if you have same problem.
Just a quick note to say hi, Buttercup...I'm sorry to hear you are also having problems with your Crystalens implants. I'm very interested in hearing about the ultrasound test.
Your problems have nothing to do with dry eyes. I was told the same thing. However, neither Crystalens site nor pamphlet say anything about dry eyes causing bad results. You are not getting any answers because your doc/surgeon doesn't want to take responsibility for using them without doing his homework first.
I would like to talk further, but you can only use so much space here. My email address is ***@****.
