Just a quick note to say hi! Tks for responding. Fibro is certain "spots"....I never thought I fit the diagnosis but no testing for other issues was ever done. MRI this Sunday though, finally
Hello ma'lady <3 I hope to be able to catch up with you sooner than later. I've been a terrible friend where keeping in touch is concerned. Miss you oxox
Hey Ess, sorry to see that you continue to be suffering from TN. Have the additional doses of IVSM helped at all? It can be so hit or miss. What does this mean for your summer plans?
Just saw "Urethra" Franklin. I laughed so hard tears ran down my leg (not mine originally).
I think the miracle in all of us is our humor.
Thanks for the laughs.
Thanks so much for the note. I think I've got it all covered. :)
Just a quick note to say hi! Thanks Ess. I have not painted in years now
Thank you for the birthday wishes!
Thank you very much for your note. I really appreciate your sharing your experience with me, it helps so much to know how you did it. That is so awesome. Since 1978? Wow. I hope the ending of my story is as wonderful as yours. Thanks again so much. Kat
Thank you for your note, Essie! Good to hear from you. I've been absent most of the year, but it's only because I've been over-blessed in other areas of life! We pray for all of you dear friends all of the time. Peace.
I got disseminated histoplasmosis from bats at work. Bats carry the fungus. At the age of 52, after I developed disseminated histoplasmosis (gives a positive ANA titer, b/c the immune system is actually attacking the fungus) I (and my coworkers) developed symptoms of...MS, ALS, lupus, fibromyalgia, sarcoidosis, possible trigeminal neuralgia, migraines, a possible lightning type temporal lobe epileptic seizure, plantar fasciitis, tinnitus, weird rashes....
My coworkers and I all had similar symtpoms. I almost died when they gave me Prednisone
Just a quick note to say hi! Thanks for all the useful information. Hope you have a Great Holiday Season!!!!
Thank you for your informative response to my post
Thank you SO much Ess for your concern! She was a little harsh, with the "what do you expect me to do" attitude, so she brought me to tears. I was not ready for her to be that way. But at the end at least she sent me to VEP test today and asked if I was ready for a spinal tap (because she does not think it is worth it).
Thank you so much Ess.
Oh, my goodness! A belated thank you for your kind words on my newbie knitting! I always forget that I signed up for MedHelp with an email address that I no longer use, so I don't get notified for things like this and just trip over them eventually. Hopefully it didn't come off as aloofness. Thanks for all you do on the forum.
Hi Ess - just back from the East coast today. Will be checking in with the MS clinic tomorrow re: my latest MRI and symptoms, and will post an update after that. Thanks for your note.
Hey it was a sunny 12 degrees Celsius here yesterday. Snow was melting and we were outside in our hoodies. I'll let you keep the snow and sub-zero temps for a while. I mean, it's only fair! ;)
Just a quick note to say hi! I had chemo 2 weeks ago so now i have blisters but I took prednisone and they lowered the dose so it is not so bad. I am walking and training Grady I am also working on my memoir. I do not feel like painting but hopefully when spring comes. Are you staying warm?
Just a quick note to say hi! They are better. I hope you are not too cold.
Hello Ess my friend, hope you enjoyed the holiday season, and are having a happy new year, so far! :)
Ess, just a note to wish you happy holidays. I hope life is treating you well, my friend. Don't get around here on the boards much anymore. You've been very helpful to me in the past--especially when this long journey began. Just wanted to tell you that I appreciated your advice and insight.
just saw your post! OMG I haven't gotten a letter yet but Kathy is leaving Hopkins?!?! OH NO! It was hard enough to get a hold of Dr Newsome before but now - this isn't good!
Hi Ess, I just read that you have a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. I have one as well. :-) He has only 3 legs since about 18 months old. He's now 7 & the most precious little man. I love Cavies out of all the breeds I've had in life. I don't know what I would do without Gatsby. Take Care, Karry.
you live in the Timonium area right? I think we have spoken before - I work - currently in Hunt Valley and I think we see the same neuro at Hopkins! hope all is well with you!
I'm so happy to see you pop up here ! We miss you and need your wisdom from experience. hugs, L
thanks for making the extra effort to visit with me - wish it could have been longer.
Just a quick note to say hi! My show is the 21st of April
Thanks Ess - yes not working too hard - getting lots of sleep and taking breaks. Hoping to be properly settled in within the next week or so.
Thanks for sharing the football story. I can picture the impact. Head wounds are so bloody but easy to fix, usually. And besides, I have bangs in my hairstyle right now and the stitches come out on Tuesday.
I am disappointed that you find my contributions here unhelpful, as you implied in a comment on my profile, and that you would prefer I go away rather than point out inadequacies in this website. Many contributors to this site, including some of the community leaders but not all as you assert, are very knowledgeable and helpful. I have never thought otherwise of you.
